Compliance Jobs Report

Cryptocurrency trading platform Coinbase has hired Neryn Gaul to be senior manager of financial crimes investigations. Gaul comes to Coinbase from Facebook, where he had been manager of special investigations for the company’s financial intelligence unit.

Laura Musselman has joined Synopsys as director of ethics and compliance. Musselman previously had been senior counsel for ethics and compliance at software developer ServiceNow.

Jennifer DeJoy has a new job at HealthPartners in Minnesota, where she is senior manager for integrity and compliance. DeJoy comes to the healthcare system after five years at Medica, where most recently she was director of ethics and compliance. 

Pharmaceutical manufacturing firm Bavarian Nordic has expanded the role of Virginia Fitt, from U.S. compliance officer to head of legal and compliance for North America.

Marriott International has named Agung Nugroho compliance officer for “APEC,” which is Asia-Pacific excluding China. Nugroho comes to Marriott after three years at BDO Indonesia, where he had been head of finance.

F5, a cybersecurity services firm, has promoted Emily Ma from manager of IT internal audit to senior GRC analyst. Ma has been with F5 for five years. 

Continental Resources has hired Chance Bland as lead regulatory compliance specialist. Bland previously worked at Green Horse Energy, an oil services firm, as managing partner. 

Healthcare technology firm IQVIA has promoted Susan Lipsitz, from associate general counsel and chief compliance officer to deputy general counsel and CCO. Lipsitz has been with the business for nearly six years. 

Ferrari (if you need to ask what they do, don’t talk to me any more) has promoted Paolo Errera from group compliance manager to head of compliance. 

Kristen Story has joined Horizon Bank, a community bank in Michigan, as assistant compliance officer. Story previously worked at Northpointe Bank in Grand Rapids, Mich., as director of risk, control, and oversight management. 

Financial Gravity, a fintech startup based in Austin, Texas, has hired Kaili Winters as chief compliance officer. This is a homecoming for Winters; she was previously the company’s CCO in the early 2020s, although lately she had been CCO at 49 Financial

French asset management firm Amundi ($2.2 trillion in assets under management) has promoted Marc Noel from deputy general counsel to chief compliance officer. Noel has been with the firm since 2022.

Swissport, one of the giants in airport ground services, has hired Carlos Angeli as global head of compliance and data privacy. Angeli comes to Swissport from Beam Suntory, where he had been international compliance officer since last year. 

Lakshmi Vipin has joined Redington Ltd., an IT services firm in India, as head of compliance and ethics. Vipin previously worked at Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, the Indian subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, where she was head of GRC and integrity.

Geneva Financial, a mortgage lender based in Phoenix, has hired Jessie Ermel as chief compliance officer. Ermel comes to the company from real-estate startup Homie, where she had been general counsel. 

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing has named Lilian Cheng as its next chief compliance officer; she arrives at the beginning of May. Cheng comes to HKEX after 10 years at HSBC in various senior-level compliance roles. She succeeds Adam Singer, who had been CCO since 2021. He is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

We also have a few personnel updates from the boardroom, too. More compliance officers on boards!

First, Anagha Apte, senior director of ethics and compliance at eBay, has joined the board of FGI Industries, a supplier of kitchen and bath products. Apte will serve on the nominating and governance and audit committees. 

Remember Martin Grant, chief ethics and compliance officer at the New York Federal Reserve Bank until 2022? He just joined the board of Binance.US to help the crypto exchange improve its financial reporting and internal controls. Binance.US is still under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission; its parent company, Binance, settled criminal charges with the Justice Department last year

And Leonard Shen, chief compliance officer at Visa until 2020 (and CCO at PayPal before that) has joined the board of advisers at Borderless AI, a startup trying to bring AI to the global payments business.

Milestones

Kristy Everett is celebrating one year as chief compliance officer at Barclays.

Lisa Fine is celebrating five years at Pearson, where she is senior director of global ethics and compliance. 

Irina Lazieva is celebrating five years at KBR, where she is director of legal and business integrity.

Angel Olivas has reached five years at Timken Co. as manager of ethics, compliance, and privacy.

Mohamad Iskandarani is celebrating 10 years at Kuwait Energy as project audit manager. 

Courtney McMorrow has reached 10 years at AbbVie, where she is associate director of business compliance. 

And Nicole McRae just hit 21 years at Becton Dickinson, where these days she is senior director of enterprise compliance and operations. She is proud to say she was there “for the very start” of BD’s ethics and compliance team.

Vendors & Service Providers

A new compliance services firm, 3iCO, has launched in New York City. It provides CCO services to registered investment advisory firms and other investment funds. CEO is Laura Lee Flanagan

Open Req Orders

Norfolk Southern is looking for a SOX compliance manager. Job is based in Atlanta. No salary range listed.

Gilead Sciences is looking for a U.S. ethics and compliance adviser. Job is based in Parsippany, N.J., with a salary range of $232,000 to $300,000. 

Ohio University is looking for a chief audit executive, who would also be executive director of the Office of Audit, Risk, and Compliance. Job is based in Athens, Ohio. Salary not disclosed, those stinkers.
